I truly enjoyed reading Whispers from the Carpathians. The format—45 brief stories—works wonderfully, offering quick but immersive glimpses into a dark and atmospheric world. The book is great for fans of short horror stories. The tales are easy to read and are not that scary, so teens or younger children could read them, too. The stories take place in Romania. People who have been here before will recognize some places. The design is also great and it makes this book a perfect present.

I love this book! It immerses readers in the folklore and dark mystique of Romania, it's simple written and with a lot of suspense. The atmospheric prose captures the dense forests, crumbling villages, and ancient superstitions of the Carpathians with haunting clarity. In my opinion, this book is a must-read for fans of the horror genre and especially for lovers of folklore-infused stories!
